but
who feel that
they know all that there is to know
on the subject matter(s)
under discussion .. being discussed
and
therefore
shoot off their mouths
loudly,
vociferously
and
continually
in the belief that they know it all
whereas in real terms
their knowledge of the issue(s)
is
.. at best ..
superficial
jaundiced
prejudiced
replete with knowledge gaps
and so,

by and large
i have,
generally,
over the years
found
myself practicing
a procedure and approach of
■ just keeping quiet
and
letting them run their mouths
till they are tired
at which point
they invariably shut up
■ avoiding such discussions with them as would

their exhibiting their ignorance? in
the hectoring tone
and hectoring manner
of an absolute repository of knowledge
down-talking to a rather (mentally-)dense listener.
it is an approach that has served well
and
has been extremely successful in/at
eliminating un-necessary, irrelevant, tiresome verbal confrontations.
however,
in your instance,
with all due respect,
i will make strong exception
and
express an opinion or two.

the direct inference is that
there are over 250 distinct tribes / ethnic groups in Nigeria.
