it is my personal conviction
.. and on this i stand to be corrected ..
that
the humility that is respected is the humility of the entity that is well aware of his/her status of elevation, high capabilities, etc
and
being aware of all that
chooses to be gracious
chooses to be courteous
chooses to operate by due decorum
rather than to be obnoxious
the humility that is appreciated is the humility of the lower placed entity who identifies accurately and understands accurately her/his standing in the rankings of life
and
gives respect and honour to whom respect and honour is due
rather than to poke a finger in the eyes of her/his betters/superiors in the rankings of life

what is to be avoided is
the dangerous lack of self-confidence in one’s merits and abilities
the dangerous lack of self-assurance in one’s merits and abilities
the dangerous lack of courage to pursue that which one can rightly achieve
that camouflages as humility
and
️ ️often constitutes a virtual block against the very desire .. the very will .. of the individual to strive to achieve and overcome.
by which, i mean to say
what quality does a housewife possess that you lack ?
what quality does a wife possess that you lack ?
what quality does a marital partner possess that you lack ?
what quality does a fiancee possess that you lack ?
what quality does a lover possess that you lack ?
and why on earth
do you settle for housemaid
when in all probability,
you are equipped and qualified to be
a housewife
a wife
a marital partner
a fiancee
a lover
