Roberta Flack ohbee nm ( obi nm ) ( obi m ) ( obim )
there’s been
some stuff
on the internet and elsewhere
that
.. on the face of it ..
convey an impression
that
the Black folks in South Africa
have no issues
with
the racist? White folks in RSA
.. whether or not
for example
the white RSA folks shoot dead black RSA females
on/in white RSA folks owned farms
and
feed their dead bodies to the pigs
in the farms
[ the interested reader
can
Google Search
this
happenstance
if
he/she so wishes ]
and
instead
have issues
with
blacks from black Africa countries
( e.g Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Nigeria, etc )
who
reside and/or work in RSA.
the truth about this perception,
Roberta Flack ormahleechar nm,
includes
among other truths
that :
(1) if
some one or some group of folks
have been
brutally oppressing
your people
for several centuries
and
still have
strong influence and strong control
over your people
after
you and your people might have
acquired
flag independence
you will probably still be afraid of them
.. especially if
as some stuff on the internet seems to suggest
they can
still
unleash
physical violence on you and your people
and
get away with it ..
and so
you may
in order to
save your life
and
avoid unnecessary stress
keep away from confronting them frontally
even if
the memories of
the death of Steve Biko
and
the memories of
the Sharpeville Massacre
and
shootings in Soweto, etc
form an
integral part of
the cumulative fabric of
your overall history
(2) black Africa countries
themselves
need to
be careful
in/when pointing fingers
of
xenophobia
against
RSA
because
while historically
they may all have
contributed
in different measures
one way or the other
to the battle
to end apartheid supremacy in RSA
and
achieve self-rule for/by the blacks in RSA
some black Africa countries
are themselves
on record
to have
carried out
anti-Black Africa folks xenophobia activities
against
Black Africa folks from
some Black Africa countries
e.g
the Ghana 1960s? expulsion of Nigerians from Ghana
and
the 1980s? expulsion of Ghanians from Nigeria.
(3) furthermore,
within
individual black Africa countries
themselves
there have been
upheavals
involving
some of the component tribes
acting against
other tribes in the same country.
in this regards
the Hutu tribe versus Tutsi tribe
in Rwanda
comes to mind
just as
the Nigeria Civil War / Biafra War, [ 1967 – 1970 ]
which seemed to be
the Northern Nigeria tribes
and
(South) Western Nigeria tribe
and
(South) Mid-Western Nigeria tribes
versus
the (South) Eastern Nigeria tribes
also comes to mind.
the mind also recalls
rumours
that circulated
regarding
the 2023 Elections in Nigeria
in which
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar ( of the Kanuri tribe of North Eastern Nigeria ),
Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Tinubu ( of the Yoruba tribe of South Western Nigeria ),
Mr. Peter Obi ( of the Igbo tribe of South Eastern Nigeria )
contested for
the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
which rumours rumoured that
probably
being scared?
that
the high number of registered igbo tribe voters in the Lagos Area may
.. together with some folks of the Yoruba tribe and other tribes located in the Lagos Area ..
vote for
Peter Obi and other candidates of the LP for the contested elections
e.g
the governorship / gubernatorial elections, etc
there were some groups that
went around
advising folks
who were intending to vote for candidates
other than
the candidates of those groups
to
keep off the ballot boxes and the voting booths
on
election day(s).
according to rumours,
there is/was some stuff regarding
the 2023 Nigeria elections
on the internet
and
the interested reader
can
if he/she so wishes
Google Search
the 2023 Nigeria Elections
and
take a look at the stuff that turns up.
Roberta Flack onye ukwe di egwu,
a key difference
however
between
virtually all the other black-on-black-xenophobia incidents
that have been witnessed
in
black Africa
and
the black-on-black xenophobia incidents
fairly recently and currently being witnessed in RSA
in it’s various manifestations
e.g
■ burning of shops belonging to Malawi citizens,
■ ganging up against Chidimma Adetshina
who has a biological Nigeria genealogy
when she participated in the Miss South Africa beauty pageant contest,
■ etc,
■ etc
is that
virtually all the other confrontations
seem to have
arisen directly out of misunderstandings
among
the black folks themselves
without undue input from
the negative fall out effects of
Colonization by Western Europeans
on
interactions between the black folks of the colonized territories
unlike
the black-on-black-xenophobia manifestations in RSA
which are
rumoured to be
initiated,
triggered,
fuelled,
escalated,
made to continuously occur
by
some racist anti-Black white folks
in
the Republic of South Africa
who
stay hidden
behind-the-scenes
and
use black folks
in their financial pay
i.e
on their financial pay roll
as
a cover
i.e
a black face
to
unleash
hatred,
violence
and mayhem
as much as they can
against
blacks from other black Africa countries.
Roberta Flack onye ndi oji na uwa nine ji ama atu,
according to rumours,
these
racist, anti-black supremacist white folks
are
scared
that
they will ultimately lose economic control, etc
of/in RSA
if
blacks from other black Africa countries
continue to
come into RSA and invest in
the SME sector
( .. small businesses,
hairdresser shops,
small scale enterprises,
medium scale enterprises .. )
because
they bring in money from
their own countries
to start and run
these start-ups
[ and such monies
being essentially
investor funds from other countries
can not be
shut off .. blocked .. cut off ..
by the racist whites
that control/run/determine
the RSA banking system,
the RSA finance system
and
the RSA enterprises funding system ].
also
during
the many long years of
brutal apartheid repression and oppression
of
the black folks in RSA
by
racist white folks/groups
in RSA
the white racist groups/folks
made it
generally very difficult for
black folks to acquire
administrative skills,
high level quality education,
etc
and so
then and even uptil now
it is
the white RSA folks
mostly
that are
the RSA medical doctors,
the RSA engineers,
the RSA lawyers,
the RSA graduates,
the RSA managers,
the RSA skilled human resources personnel
in
the RSA Economy,
the RSA Industry,
the RSA Corporate World
while
the blacks are
mostly
restricted to
being
the low-skilled manual labour
.. generally the low-paid menial labour ..
and
when black RSA folks
now see
in fair numbers
incoming
black medical doctors,
black entrepreneurs,
black engineers,
etc
from
other black Africa countries
it further fires their aspirations and hopes
and
they further escalate their struggle(s) to improve their lot in life
which is
what the racist whites do not want
as they wish to
keep them down as underdogs for ever.
also,
it is likely that
if
the racist white folks do not
put a timely stop to it,
over time
if
interactions between
black RSA folks
and
black folks from other black Africa countries
continues
there may be
instances of economic co-operation,
etc
between
black RSA folks
and
ECOWAS black Africa folks
and
EAC black Africa folks,
for example
at the level of
Small & Medium Scale Enterprises
and
even at the level of
the MacroEconomy
which
will empower the black RSA folks
financially
and
better position them to
struggle for
increased share in economic decision making
in RSA.
as things stand,
rumours are
that
for example
not less than 80% of the land in RSA
is
owned?
by
the racist white minority population
so they fear that
if
the black RSA folks continue to
interact with
blacks from other black Africa countries
the psychological conditioning
which
the racist white RSA folks
have given
the black RSA folks
over the years
to make them fear white folks
will erode away
as they increasingly interact with
black Africans from countries self-ruled by black Africans
and
as
this fear of the racist white RSA folks
erodes away
and
the black RSA folks
become
increasingly more skilled
and
participate increasingly at decision making levels
in the RSA Economy
they may likely
become
emboldened
to seek
greater ownership of the land
in RSA
and
increasingly seek
not to be
.. to use a phrase ..
restricted to bantustans
but
to partake more
in
the benefits of the goodness of the land
( diamonds, agriculture, etc )
that
GOD, Nature and History
gave them
as their own native home lands.
