as far as i can understand it
what it means simply is that
it is just the human spirit that is on and in display.

Ravie Loso ohbee nm, what i mean by this is that
in very many ways,
the human spirit is fundamentally a very competitive spirit.

and this is a basic truth that remains both self-evident and fundamental
despite and inspite of
efforts? over the years in various human communities around the world
to contain and/or challenge this basic reality.

Ravie Loso nkeh nm, such efforts? in my own opinion include stuff like
communism,
egalitarianism,
etc

and
as far as i can understand it, Ravie Loso ormaahleechar nm,
the basic spirit of the human being is a spirit that
strives
to survive,
to overcome and
to triumph.

and i guess that’s just the basic truth concerning the human spirit.

and so, Ravie Loso nnkeh nm,
whether it is a Primary School situation e.g
at the Central School, Onitsha i.e
at the Onitsha Central Primary School, Onitsha
where, like in virtually all other schools around the world,
examinations are held at the end of each term
and one pupil must invariably emerge as the holder of the first position

or

whether it is in an election process for governance e.g
an election for the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
or for that matter, by way of further illustrative example,
an election for the Office of the President of the United States of America
in which, like in every other country around the world that applies the democratic elective process,
one and only one person must invariably emerge as the President i.e
as the holder of the office of the President i.e
as the President of that country

all that is happening is essentially just
a demonstration of the basic nature of the human spirit
and therefore automatically also
a demonstration of the basic disposition of the human spirit
of competing, surviving, overcoming and triumphing

the only other notable thing in these instances used as examples being that
because more than one individual human being is involved now
the aggregation of human beings involved
and
the limitation imposed by the reality of life
to the extent that only one person can hold the Office of the President
or
come hold the first position at the end of the examinations
( … sometimes 2 or more? pupils may have the same overall percentage e.g 96% overall but this is usually a very rare occurrence and most often only one student holds the highest overall percentage at the end of the examinations … )

determines that a selection process should take place
and the best contestant? / candidate identified.

so, when the ladies ask :

who wore it better ?
who is more beautiful?
who slayed them most ?
who killed it best ?

this is basically what is happening
i.e
the basic essential tendency/tendencies of the spirit of the humanoid / homo sapiens
is/are in manifestation i.e is/are manifesting

and therefore
the ladies want to know,
at the end of it all
who triumphed ? among all the ladies in terms of beauty ?
who overcame ? all the other ladies ? in terms of beauty ?
who survived best ? among the competition of beauty and
therefore also automatically
who survived best ? from or during the challenge of beauty
thrown by the other ladies
