i have sometimes wondered
who
it is exactly
that
the idea of
a Swimming Pool
should be credited to.
i mean,
could the original idea
of/for/regarding the
creation of a Swimming Pool
have been
an idea
.. a passing? thought? ..
.. a recurring? thought? ..
in the mind of
a
Negroland Africa native
of
a Water-Side Community
a River-Side Community
a Lake-Side Community
a Sea-Side Community
who
found herself/himself
at some point in her/his life
in
a mostly dry land
hot
arid
Community
where water
could only be gotten
from
wells dug in the ground
and
where
there were
no nearby rivers
that one could easily get to
during
the burning heat of the Afternoon Sun
and
dive in
and
swim around
and thus
both
cool one’s self down
and
have some fun
at the same time
and
who now
pondered on
deliberated on
considered
the possibility or otherwise
of
transporting a portion of
the river
the lake
the sea
in her/his Native Community
to her/his current dry lands location
and
from there
progressed with the concept
to deliberating on
how to dig
a hole in the ground
large enough to
be the size of
a naturally occuring small body of water
that
folks can swim in
and
then filling that hole with water
and
finding a mechanism to
ensure that
the water used to fill the whole
does not
seep away or leak away
but
remains in place
just like the waters of
a natural river
a natural lake.
in a world
where
folks
habitually
regularly
historically
currently
steal ideas
and
claim those ideas as theirs
without giving any credit at all
to the folk
who they got the idea from
it would be
.. at a guess ..
a fairly difficult thing
and
most likely
a virtually impossible task
to
identify who the original idea
should be created to
more so
as some countries
seem to be
messing around with
or
to have messed around with
their true factual accurate history.
