one of the fall-outs of the continuing-since-1989? devaluation of the Nigeria Naira that has been linked to the resultant emergent issues of

● decreased purchasing power of the Naira
● reduction, and in many instances, elimination of the disposable income of many individuals and households
● retrenchment i.e the laying-off of staff including managers and workers in many establishments
● closure of many companies, offices and manufacturing concerns
● a horrifying burgeoning increase in the numbers of un-employed peoples in Nigeria

including
skilled labour,
educated labour,
semi-skilled labour,
partially-educated labour,
un-skilled labour and
un-educated labour

is something that is somehow related to the witnessed brain drain and skills drain
i.e somehow related to the circumstance where

brilliant Nigeria professionals ( e.g medical doctors, nurses, etc ) and
talented Nigeria persons ( e.g footballers, athletes, etc )

… have left …
… have been leaving …
… are currently leaving …

from Nigeria to countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania, etc
in very large numbers in a bid to seek economic succor and economic sustenance

and that occurrence is the phenomenon where

partially educated and partially skilled Nigerians ( both male and female )
… have left …
… have been leaving …
… are currently leaving …

from Nigeria to countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania, etc
in very large numbers in a bid to seek economic succor and economic sustenance.

and it is usually Nigeria woman-hood in this latter category that find themselves channeled into prostitution abroad i.e in countries outside of Nigeria.

Nigeria can not afford a situation wherever the very prime of Nigeria woman-hood are channeled into prostitution abroad.
and if, as appears to be self-evident,
the continuing-since-1989? devaluation of the Nigeria Naira
is a primary causative factor
for this unwholesome development
then it is all the more reason for a return of the Naira to it’s pre-devaluation strength.
