it is possible for a member of one generation to have a vision

for members of younger generations not to have that particular vision at all.

may have had

a vision of Pan-African-ism

by which all Black Africa will essentially see themselves as the same peoples

and any Negro / Black person from anywhere in

can participate in opportunities available
in any part of
Negro-land Africa / Negro Africa / Black Africa

without fear of the folks native to there acting against him/her because he/she
hails/comes from a different tribe
and/or
hails from a different part of Black Africa.  

■ the Nigeria folks expulsion from Ghana in the 1960s
■ the Ghana folks expulsion from Nigeria in 1980?
■ the Hutu tribe versus Tutsi tribe killings in Rwanda
■ the inter-tribal confrontations? that tend to frequently? throw up now and again in Nigeria
■ the Negro on Negro i.e Black on Black Xenophobia Killings in the Republic of Southern Africa,
■ etc,
■ etc,
■ etc

seem to sort of show classically that while

did not believe in such compatriot-hood

actions that spoke much louder than words.

in any case,
on the issue of vision,
one distinctly remembers the view of
some Engineers of the Nigerian Railway Corporation ( NRC )
who averred as far back in the day as

1976 .. 1977
i.e
( 2022 – 1976 ) = 46 years ago
and
( 2022 – 1977) = 45 years ago

that
long before that year 1976 ( or was it ? 1977 ? )
Nigeria should have built additional Rail Lines
upon the essential Railway Structure put in place
essentially by the British Colonial Administration of Nigeria

to the result that
✅ all capital cities of all the states of Nigeria are linked to the Railway Grid
✅ all major commercial cities in each state are linked to the Railway Grid in that state  

one net benefit of this
in addition to
opening up / enhancing economic activities in each state
is that
it would reduce pressure

▼ on motor-way i.e road traffic

▼ on motor-way i.e road transportation

■ within the states with active Rail Tracks
i.e
it would reduce the density and volume of
intra-state road traffic and intra-state road transportation
within the states with active Rail Tracks

and

■ between the states with active Rail Tracks
i.e
it would reduce the density and volume of
inter-state road traffic and intra-state road transportation
between the states with active Rail Tracks.

there would also be the additional value-added benefit that,
for example,

it would be possible to commute
from
✅ any state capital in Nigeria
✅ any major commercial city in Nigeria
to
✅ any other state capital anywhere in Nigeria
✅ any other major commercial city anywhere in Nigeria
by Rail.

that was 45 years ago.
